Setanta’s High Yield suite currently encompasses the Dividend Fund, Income Opportunities Fund and Reditus Fund. All three funds are focused on stocks that provide an income return via dividends and are chosen within the framework of a value investing philosophy. The Income Opportunities and Reditus funds also employ covered call option writing strategies to further boost income, while Reditus alone invests only in ethically screened assets.
The Dividend Fund is an actively managed portfolio of global high yield equities. The Portfolio Managers embrace Setanta's value investment philosophy, seeking to pick stocks at a price below the managers’ assessment of intrinsic value. The Fund further distils this philosophy by targeting stocks where management have both the willingness and ability to distribute meaningful dividends to shareholders.
The Reditus Umbrella Exempt Unit Trust marries Setanta's experience in high yield investment with strong skills in the use of a covered option overwriting strategy to enhance income generated. The securities are also screened to meet certain ethical criteria. An income target is declared at the beginning of each year, and dividends are paid bi-annually (January & July). The Reditus Fund was developed in conjunction with L&P Financial Trustees Limited, a valued partner of Setanta Asset Management.
